RTO Satna

The regional transport office is a department that is set up to oversee the enforcement of laws and ensure road transport safety as laid down by the Motor Vehicles Act 1988.  It is engaged in various activities like maintaining the register of vehicles in the Satna region as well as collect taxes and grant permits and licenses.  They also implement the rules and regulations regarding the transport system on roads that are passed on by the State Government in addition to the central motor Vehicles Act 1988. The RTO code is MP-19.

RTO Satna- Functions

The functions that RTO Satna carries out include

• Maintaining a record of all registered vehicles in the region
• Registering new vehicles
• Inspection of vehicles to ensure that they are pollution-free
• Collecting road tax
• Issuing, canceling, and renewing permits based on the merit
• Implementing rules that are issued by the MP state government with respect to road transport
• Issuing a fitness certificate/FC
• Issuing license- learner’s and permanent
• Conducting driving tests for issuing the license
• Registering transfer of ownership of vehicles
• Issuing o objection certificate for transfer of the vehicle to another state.
